Today, Sunday, January 17, 2010, Billie and I dedicated our sweet baby to our Lord. This is one of the easiest and hardest things you will ever have to do as a parent. Easy for the obvious reason that Brigham is a child of God and a gift to us, she belongs to Him and we would not want this any other way. He is her creator, protector, and Saviour and it is our hopes for her that one day she will accept Jesus as her Lord and Saviour and know that He died on the cross for her sins for her to have eternal life. Though, until then, we have placed her in His hands. Hard, for the fact that it is difficult to grasp the concept that anyone could ever love her more than Billie and I do, or protect, guide, and comfort her like we know we will do with all the power we have! (I know this is an obvious one, but still, as Mommies and Daddies we like to think we can give them the world and more ;) But, we know fully in our hearts that God is the center of each of our lives and through Him we can have ease at knowing it is much easier for Him to take her in His arms and protect her eternally and take the "hard" part away from us as parents knowing he has an ultimate plan for her life. We gave Brigham to God the moment she was born, this was just our statement declaring this publicly for all to see and witness this action, just as we take part in Baptism to declare our faith to others.
We appreciate everyone that came! It meant so much for you all (Grandpop and Jujie, B-Paw and Lovie, Aunt Liz and Uncle Ben, Aunt Emm, Mamaw and Papaw, Aunt Amy and family, Nana and Clark, Bri and Ryan) to be there for our family at this very special time in our lives! We love you all!!!
(Sorry, no pics just yet, but I can assure you Brigham looked A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E. ;)
